Chicken lettuce wraps

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground chicken/ Tofu (if vegetarian)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 inches Ginger
  • 2 pcs Garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Red chilli flakes
  • 1/4 Cup Hoisin sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 Cup Roasted & chopped peanuts
  • 1/4 Cup Spring onions/ green onions
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 pcs Boston lettuce/ Ice burg lettuce

Instructions

  • Separate the leaves of the lettuce, wash and dry them.

  • Heat a pan with 2tbsps of oil and add ground chicken and sauté it until brown.

  • Stir in salt , turmeric, ginger , garlic and saute for 2min.

  • Add red chilli powder, chilli flakes, soy sauce, hoisin sauce (optional) and mix them well.

  • Add the scallions or green onions and the roasted peanuts.

  • Serve it warm in the lettuce cups.
